The CA2010 exceeds DOT Standards as a Breath Alcohol Screening device. It utilizes a state-of-the-art semiconductor oxide sensor to test breath alcohol content quickly and accurately. The simple one-button operation provides a digital reading in seconds. The CA2010 is both identical in functionality and hardware as the AlcoHawk CA2010. The only noticeable difference is the AlcoHawk branding on the box. We maintain the same one year warranty for the CA2010 and offer the same calibration service as the factory.
How many tests can be performed with the CA2010 before I have to calibrate the device?
Ideally, the CA2010 will perform about 300 tests before needing to be calibrated. Frequent testing with higher amounts of alcohol may potentially wear out the sensor faster. The CA2010's self diagnostic system monitors itself and can tell you when calibration is needed.
